General Introduction
Polyaqua-1 is a lightly crosslinked alkali-swellable anionic acrylic polymer emulsion. It works as an excellent rheology modifier, especially delivering unique benefits to surfactant-based cleansing products. In formulations containing high level of surfactant, it has efficient suspending and stabilizing, as well as thickening properties, able to make the formulation very clear. It works synergistically with surfactant and salt resulting in efficient suspending, stabilizing, and thickening property for insoluble ingredients like silicone and other particles. It also has the remarkable ability to enhance the pearlescent appearance of surfactant formulations, widely used in personal cleansing products.

How to use
The minimum recommended dosage in surfactant-based products is 5.0% as supplied (1.5% active). The dosage depends on the amount of surfactant and salt for additional thickening. In no-salt or low surfactant system, typical dosage is 8- 10% as supplied (2.4-3.0% active).
The polymer can be added to the free water of a formulation with gentle mixing at the start of the batching process, pH around 3, resulting in very low viscosity. Upon addition of a base, the polymer will be neutralized, resulting in immediate increase in suspending properties and viscosity. It is suggested to add 0.05-0. l% BHT to the surfactant system to prevent yellowing of finished products.
Packing &Storage
- This product is packed as 200kg/drum;
- It is required to be stored under temperature 5-35°C , well-sealed and avoid dampness and strong light. Freezing must be avoided.
